Hand-Crafted Treasures
Heirloom quality porcelain Christmas ornaments are very rare today. The once respected and sought after works of the most famous porcelain houses are gone forever or gone overseas to be reduced to manufacturing. The hand-crafted treasures of the Anne St Clair Collection are made in the same manner as porcelain art of a few centuries ago and they absolutely rival the legends. They are very limited, sought after, cherished and appreciated by collectors around the world. The art of the Anne St Clair Collection pays homage to the porcelain masters of the past thousand years.
Provenance:
The Anne St Clair Collection began life at the annual Christmas Village events formerly held at the Andrew Wyeth Museum in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania.
Anne Piazza received the Master Artisan Certification from the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen and her work has been displayed at many of the top highly juried shows up and down the East coast.
Anne Piazza has been named one of the Top Traditional Craftsmen by Early American Life.
Anne’s art graced the Whitehouse tree in 2001 representing the state of Pennsylvania. The ornament was a reproduction of the Benjerman Ring House located on the Brandywine Battlefield in Chadds Ford Pa. This house was used as the battlefield office of George Washington, during a battle that took place on 9/11/1777. This historic home was chosen early in 2000, well before the attack on the World Trade Center on 9/11/2001.
Anne St Clair ornaments became the primary artistic element, on the main Christmas tree, in the music room, at the fabled Longwood Gardens 2006. Anne was commissioned to produce ornaments to match the colors of the Wedgwood panels incorporated in the ceiling architecture of that historic room once the center of Dupont family celebrations. These proprietary Wedgwood colors can be seen throughout the Anne St Clair Collection.
Anne’s work was also the main artistic element in the Music Room again for the Christmas of 2019.
Anne’s work was presented to Coretta Scott King for her 75th birthday.
The work of the Anne St Clair collection was on the cover of Early American Life two different times, once by commission. (Previously under the name of Piazza Ltd.)
It was also the subject of an extensive article called “The Dream Team” in “The Hunt” magazine. (Previously under the name of Piazza Ltd.)
Anne’s work was also the subject of an article written in “Collectors Mart” magazine. (Previously under the name of Piazza Ltd.)
The Anne St Clair Collection produced the commemorative ornament for the 75th anniversary of the historic Waterford Fair.
Considerations and Stipulations:
The work of The Anne St Clair Collection is exceptionally labor-intensive handcrafted art. As you can see the body of work includes an extensive variety of designs, colors etc. The entire process requires 15 to 20 different steps and 40 to 80 hours of kiln time. There aren’t any shortcuts or machinery throughput that can change that dynamic. Your orders may not ship for a week, or a month as we get closer to the holidays, so please anticipate that delay. You are commissioning a work or art, not ordering from a manufacturer shipped by a big box. Kindly be considerate in this regard.
Thank you,
The Anne St Clair Collection
